It’s pretty much the only time of the year where you can wear anything you want. So, why don an LBD and black heels? This is the most magical time of the year! It’s about fairy lights and gold wrapped chocolates, it’s about making the world a little happier, funner and more exciting for one day.
It’s about sequins and glitter this year more than ever, but let’s take it a step further to 254 West 54th Street, AKA Studio 54.
Suit and Fur
There’s something unreasonably cool about a one piece outfit with a fur jacket thrown over the top (faux, of course). As much as we all love a dress and heels, when you’ve had too much prosecco it all gets pretty hard to manoeuvre. In a jumpsuit your comfy, cool and giving a definite nod to Studio 54. Go for something dreamy like this butter yellow 70’s suit from Rat and Boa, or this sequin flare suit a la Cher from Pretty Little Thing.
Socks and Sandals
The unthinkable has become the piece du resistance of any party outfit, except it’s had an upgrade. From socks and sandals we head to platforms and glitter socks. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing. This combo will turn even your oldest black jersey dress into a disco dream.
Nothing says midnight party on Broadway more than gold eyes, sequins and or glitter eyebrows.
Time to pay respect to tinsel, the star at the top of the tree, and the gold fairy lights and light yourself up like the guardian angel of Christmas style.
I mean why do we only embellish for Festivals? Stars and mermaid glitter is surely for the Festive period, not just festivals. It’s THE BIGGEST CELEBRATION OF THE YEAR GUYS… get the glue out!
Sequin Freckles like these are particularly adorable and glitter lashes (above) are easier to pull off than you’d think, with handmade beauties from NicLove on Etsy.
